A package showed up for me: small glass tubes with 3 tiny ball bearings inside. I didn’t order this, and I have no idea what they’re for

2️⃣ Craft or DIY Inserts

These are sometimes sold as:

  • Mini rattle inserts for crafts

  • Sound-making inserts for handmade toys (though glass is less common for children’s use)

  • Jewelry or art components

The tiny ball bearings create a subtle shaking or rattling sound.

3️⃣ Industrial / Laboratory Components

Small sealed glass tubes with metal balls are sometimes used in:

  • Chemical testing kits

  • Calibration tools

  • Specialty adhesives or repair kits

If ordered accidentally (or sent in error), they may have been part of a bulk supply for hobbyists or lab use.

⚠️ Important: If You Didn’t Order This

If you truly didn’t purchase anything like this, consider:

  • Checking the shipping label carefully

  • Verifying the sender

  • Looking up the tracking number

  • Contacting the carrier

Sometimes online marketplace mix-ups or “brushing” scams (where sellers send random low-value items to generate fake reviews) result in mysterious small packages arriving unexpectedly.

Do not open or break the glass tubes until you’re sure of their origin.

Are They Dangerous?

From the image alone:

  • They appear to be simple sealed glass ampoules

  • No visible liquid inside

  • No labeling or hazardous markings

They don’t resemble medical vials or anything immediately hazardous, but without packaging details, it’s wise to handle them carefully.
