SALTED CARAMEL CRACKER BITES

 


INGREDIENTS:

1 9oz package oyster crackers

1 cup butter (2 sticks)

1 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

½ teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

PREPARATION - How To Make Salted Caramel Cracker Bites:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Spread the oyster crackers evenly onto the parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then stir in the brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until fully dissolved.

Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring continuously. Allow the bubbling mixture to cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens and lightens in color.
Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately pour the caramel over the crackers. Fold the caramel into the crackers until evenly coated, then sprinkle with salt.

Bake for 7-9 minutes, keeping a close eye to ensure the caramel doesn't burn.

Allow the crackers to cool before breaking them into small clusters. Store these delectable bites in an airtight container.
