Homestyle Comfort: Amish Country Casserole Recipe

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing until the onions are translucent and the meat is cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, condensed cream of chicken soup, and sour cream. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the frozen corn and peas into the soup mixture, followed by the cooked ground meat and sautéed onions.
  5. Gently fold in the cooked egg noodles until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  6. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste, ensuring a well-balanced flavor profile.
  7. Transfer the casserole mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, creating a golden, cheesy crust.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley just before serving, adding a touch of brightness and freshness.
