BIG BOY’S STRAWBERRY PIE!!!
Super easy, cheesy, and simple! This dish is a huge hit with my entire family. I would be preparing this daily if it were up to them! You should try it out since you will adore it.
Traditional fresh strawberry pie—you really must give it a try if you've never tasted it before! Easy as pie, this knockoff tastes identical to Frisch's Big Boy or Shoney's.
Ingredients:
1 commercially prepared pie crust
5 cups of fresh strawberries, halved
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup milk
For the dough:
2 large egg yolks
1/2 cup unsalted butter, diced
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup ice water
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon salt
3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Canola oil
