Ingredients:


6 cups of fresh, sliced peaches


1 cup of granulated sugar


1 and 1/4 cups of brown sugar


1 tablespoon of lemon juice


1 teaspoon of vanilla essence


1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon


1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg


1 cup of all-purpose flour


1/4 cup of cornstarch


1/4 teaspoon of salt


1 teaspoon of baking powder


1/4 cup of cold, unsalted butter, sliced


Instructions:


Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.


In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, vanilla essence, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and transfer to the greased baking dish.


In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking powder. Add the cold butter and blend with a pastry blender or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.


Stir in the milk to create a thick batter. Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches in the baking dish.


Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the filling is bubbling.


Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving warm. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a decadent finish.
