Death by Chocolate Dump Cake
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Mix the Pudding
In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened. Set aside.
Step 3: Layer the Ingredients
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips on top.
Next, sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the top—do not stir!
Pour the prepared pudding over the cake mix, followed by the melted butter. Use a spatula or spoon to lightly spread the butter over the surface, but again, do not stir.
Step 4: Bake to Perfection
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is set and the edges are bubbling. The center should be gooey but not liquidy.
Step 5: Add the Finishing Touches
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top while it's still warm. Allow the cake to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
Step 6: Serve and Indulge
Scoop out generous portions and serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
