Salted Caramel Banana Bread
Instructions
Preheat & Prep – Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients – In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter & Sugar – In a large bowl, beat the brown sugar and butter until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add Wet Ingredients – Mix in the sour cream, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Combine & Bake – Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined (don’t overmix!). Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Prepare the Glaze – While the bread cools, make the glaze. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the brown sugar and butter, bringing it to a gentle boil. Stir continuously for about 1 minute until the sugar dissolves.
Finish the Glaze – Remove from heat, stir in heavy cream, then add powdered sugar and salt. Mix until smooth. Let cool for 5 minutes.
Glaze & Serve – Pour the warm salted caramel glaze over the banana bread. Let set before slicing. Enjoy!
