🧪 How to Prepare the Drink
Step 1: Heat the Water
Bring 2 cups of water to a simmer — not a full boil. Ideal temperature is around 160–175°F (70–80°C) to preserve the benefits of green tea.
Step 2: Brew the Green Tea
Steep your green tea in the hot water for 5–7 minutes. Remove the tea bag or strain the leaves.
Step 3: Add Ginger and Cinnamon
Mix in 1 teaspoon of grated ginger and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir well and let the mixture sit for a minute so the flavors and nutrients infuse.
Step 4: Add Lemon Juice
Squeeze in the juice of one lemon and stir again. This adds a detoxifying boost and aids digestion.
Step 5: Optional Honey
Add a teaspoon of honey if desired, and stir until fully dissolved.
Step 6: Serve and Sip
Enjoy your drink warm or chilled. One cup in the morning on an empty stomach, and one in the evening before bed.
