Prep Your Pan:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie plate or springform pan with non-stick spray. -
Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and 2 cups of the chocolate chips. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth. Let the mixture cool slightly. -
Mix the Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla with a hand mixer on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes, until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. -
Combine with Chocolate:
Slowly pour in the slightly cooled chocolate mixture while mixing on low speed. Blend until fully incorporated. -
Add the Dry Ingredients:
Using a spatula, gently fold in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Then fold in the remaining 1 cup of chocolate chips. -
Bake the Pie:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth out the top. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is shiny and cracked, and the center is puffed yet jiggly. -
Cool and Serve:
Let the pie cool completely at room temperature. Slice and serve each piece with a generous drizzle of warm hot fudge sauce.
Serving Tip:
Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra level of indulgence.
