Princess Anne Makes UK Coin Debut — And Fans Say It’s “Well Deserved”
After decades of quiet dedication to public service, Princess Anne is finally getting her moment in the mint. For the first time in British history, The Royal Mint has issued a commemorative coin featuring The Princess Royal, just in time to mark her 75th birthday on 15 August.
Unveiled on 18 July, the coin pays tribute to Princess Anne’s lifelong commitment to duty and her enduring role within the monarchy—something royal watchers say should have happened long ago.
A Royal First: Anne on the Coin
Despite her decades of royal duties, this marks the first-ever appearance of Princess Anne on official UK currency. The design is based on a formal portrait and shows her wearing the Aquamarine Pineflower Tiara, a stunning Cartier piece. The coin’s elegant details also include her official Coat of Arms and the inscription:
“The Princess Royal – Celebrating 75 Years – Duty and Devotion.”
The coin’s release has been personally approved by the princess herself, making it a deeply personal and symbolic tribute.
