Cheesy Shrimp Scampi Bake: A Crowd-Pleasing Comfort Dish

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Step 2: Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly so it doesn’t brown. Add shrimp and sauté for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Transfer shrimp to a plate and set aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Sauce
Using the same skillet, pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, and wine (if using). Simmer the mixture gently for 3–4 minutes, letting it slightly thicken. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes as desired.

Step 4: Combine and Layer
Return shrimp to the sauce and stir to coat. Pour the entire mixture into the prepared baking dish. In a bowl, mix mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley. Evenly sprinkle the cheesy topping over the shrimp.

Step 5: Bake Until Golden
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and lightly browned on top.

Step 6: Finish and Serve
Remove from oven and garnish with extra fresh parsley. Serve hot with your choice of pasta, rice, or a hearty slice of bread to soak up all that irresistible sauce.

Pro Tip: Want to save time? You can prep the sauce ahead of time and assemble the dish just before baking.
