Comforting Ground Beef Casserole Recipe

Instructions:

1. Brown the Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until it’s nicely browned and crumbled. Drain off any excess grease.

2. Add Sauce and Seasoning
Stir in the garlic salt, salt, sugar, and tomato sauce. Let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes so the flavors meld. Once done, remove from heat and cover.

3. Cook the Noodles
In the meantime, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles until they’re al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking.

4. Prep the Casserole Dish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.

5. Make the Creamy Layer
In a mixing bowl, blend the diced onion with sour cream and cream cheese until smooth and well combined.

6. Assemble the Casserole

  • Layer half of the cooked noodles in the bottom of your dish.

  • Spread half of the cream mixture on top.

  • Add half of the beef mixture over that.

  • Repeat with the remaining noodles, cream layer, and beef mixture.

7. Top with Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Add more if you want an extra-cheesy crust.

8. Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly with slightly golden edges.

9. Serve
Let it rest for a couple of minutes, then serve hot and enjoy a comforting, satisfying meal!
