Quick & Creamy 5-Minute Fudge (Inspired by Paula Deen)

Instructions

  1. Combine & cook: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir together the sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly to avoid scorching.

  2. Melt the chocolate: Add in the chocolate chips, continuing to stir until completely melted and smooth.

  3. Finish it off: Remove the pan from heat. Quickly stir in the marshmallows, vanilla extract, and chopped nuts. Mix until everything is fully melted and incorporated.

  4. Set & serve: Pour the fudge mixture into a greased or parchment-lined 8-inch square pan. Let it cool completely at room temperature. Once set, cut into squares and enjoy!

Tips & Variations

  • Nut-free? Skip the nuts or swap with mini pretzels, toffee bits, or crushed cookies.

  • Dark chocolate lover? Use dark or semi-sweet chips instead of milk chocolate.

  • Add flair: Sprinkle sea salt on top or swirl in peanut butter for extra indulgence.

This 5-minute fudge is the ultimate quick treat that tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen. Whip it up for guests, gift it during the holidays, or keep a secret stash for yourself!
