No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare the Pan

Grease a 9×9-inch square pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2 – Make the Oat Base

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. Stir in the brown sugar and vanilla until well blended.

  3. Add the oats and cook over low heat for 2–3 minutes.

  4. Press half of the oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Set aside the remaining oats for the topping.

Step 3 – Chocolate Layer

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.

  2. Pour the chocolate mixture over the pressed oat layer, spreading evenly with a spatula or the back of a spoon.

Step 4 – Add the Topping

Sprinkle the reserved oat mixture over the chocolate layer. Press down gently so it sticks.

Step 5 – Chill & Serve

Cover and refrigerate for 2–3 hours or overnight. Allow to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before cutting into bars.

Tips & Variations

  • Nut-Free Option: Swap the peanut butter for sunflower seed butter.

  • Extra Crunch: Add chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or crushed pretzels to the oat mixture.
