Prepare the oven
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan and set aside. -
Make the banana bread batter
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in mashed bananas. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then fold into the wet mixture until just combined. -
Prepare the cream cheese filling
Beat the cream cheese with sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. -
Assemble the loaf
Pour half of the banana bread batter into the loaf pan. Spoon half of the cream cheese mixture over it. Layer the remaining banana bread batter on top, then finish with the remaining cream cheese. Swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect. -
Bake
Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. -
Cool and enjoy
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve — soft, creamy, and utterly irresistible.
