French Toast Bites with Pecans


 

Instructions

Step 1 — Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2 — Prepare the Glaze

  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  • Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

  • Cook for 2–3 minutes, until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.

Step 3 — Combine Crackers and Pecans

  • In a large bowl, place the oyster crackers and chopped pecans.

  • Pour the warm glaze over the mixture and stir gently until all crackers are evenly coated.

Step 4 — Bake

  • Spread the coated crackers and pecans evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and toasted.

Step 5 — Cool and Serve

  • Allow to cool completely; the glaze will harden slightly, creating a crunchy, sweet coating.

  • Serve as a snack, gift in jars, or enjoy at your next movie night.
