1. Prepare the pan
Line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) pan with parchment paper or lightly butter it.
2. Melt the base
In a heavy saucepan, add:

Stir over medium heat until the butter melts.
3. Bring to a boil
When it starts bubbling, cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring constantly so it doesn’t burn.
4. Remove from heat
Take the pot off the stove.

Mix until smooth and shiny.
6. Pour into the pan
