Ooey Gooey Bars

 


Instructions

Step 1 — Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Step 2 — Prepare the Crust

  • In a bowl, mix softened butter, 2 cups flour, 2 cups sugar, and 2 teaspoons vanilla until crumbly but holds together when pressed.

  • Press about half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.

Step 3 — Make the Filling

  • In another bowl, beat eggs until smooth.

  • Add 1 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons vanilla, melted butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy and fully combined.

Step 4 — Assemble the Bars

  • Pour the filling over the prepared crust.

  • Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture evenly over the top.

Step 5 — Bake

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and the filling is set but still soft in the center.

Step 6 — Cool and Serve

  • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing.

  • Cut into squares and enjoy the ooey-gooey goodness!
