Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or round silicone mold well.
Step 2: Make the Creamy Cheese Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add milk, whisking constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in cheeses, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
Step 3: Combine with Pasta
Stir cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until fully coated.
Step 4: Add the Egg
Let the mixture cool slightly, then stir in the beaten egg to help the rounds set while baking.
Step 5: Fill the Molds
Spoon the mac and cheese mixture into the prepared muffin cups, pressing lightly. Top with breadcrumbs or extra cheese if desired.
Step 6: Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and the rounds are set.
Step 7: Cool & Serve
Let rest for 5 minutes, then gently remove from the pan and serve warm.
