1. Prepare the Meat and Vegetables

Slice the beef into thin strips.
Cut onions and bell peppers into long slices.

2. Add to the Crock Pot

Place the beef, onions, and peppers inside the slow cooker.

3. Make the Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together:
beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, tomato paste, garlic, and black pepper.
Pour this mixture over the meat and vegetables.

4. Cook Low and Slow

Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until steak is tender.
