š„ Make It Your Own: Customizations and Serving Tips
For Extra Heat: Dial up the spice by using a hot taco seasoning mix, swapping some of the green chiles for diced jalapeƱos, or adding a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper to the mixture.
Make-Ahead Option: You can mix and assemble the dip in the baking dish up to two days ahead of time, cover it tightly, and refrigerate.
Allow it to stand at room temperature while the oven preheats, then bake as directed (you may need to add about 10 minutes to the baking time since the dish is cold). Slow Cooker Method: For a potluck, mix all ingredients (reserving 1 cup of cheese for the topping) and cook on HIGH for 2–3 hours or on LOW for 3–4 hours in a greased slow cooker. Top with the remaining cheese just before serving.
