Cheesy Beef-Stuffed Biscuit Bombs
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prep the Savory Filling
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and diced onion together until the meat is fully cooked and no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Remove the skillet from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly so it doesn't melt the dough when you assemble them.
2. Flatten the Dough
Pop open your can of biscuits. Take each individual biscuit and use your fingers (or a rolling pin) to gently flatten and stretch it out into a wider circle, about 4 to 5 inches across. Try to keep the center slightly thicker than the edges so the filling doesn't break through.
3. Stuff and Seal the "Bombs"
Place a generous spoonful of the seasoned ground beef right into the center of each flattened biscuit. Top the beef with a healthy pinch of shredded cheddar cheese (or a small cube of cheese).
Carefully gather the edges of the biscuit dough up over the filling, pinching the seams tightly together to seal the meat and cheese inside. Shape it gently into a smooth ball.
4. Arrange and Bake
Place the stuffed dough balls seam-side down onto your prepared baking sheet. Space them about an inch or two apart. Brush the tops of each dough ball with the melted butter—this is the secret to getting that gorgeous, glossy, golden-brown crust.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed up and deep golden brown. Don't worry if a little cheese cracks through the top as they expand—that crispy, melted cheese edge is the best part!
How to Serve Them
Allow the biscuit bombs to cool for just a couple of minutes before serving, as the cheese inside will be incredibly hot. Serve them warm alongside dipping bowls of ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, or even ranch dressing. Pair them with a simple green salad or some crispy french fries for a complete, comforting meal that your family will ask for week after week
