Every time automatic doors open, two different air masses try to swap places. In summer, hot, humid air wants to rush in, while the cooled air inside tries to pour out into the parking lot.

An air curtain streams a thick, downward jet of air across the opening at high velocity. This creates a physical boundary that seals the indoor climate off from the outdoors.
