THE INGREDIENTS LIST:
For the Dumplings:
4 medium-sized apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp).
1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough.
1/2 Cup.Of unsalted butter, melted.
1/2 Cup.Of brown sugar, packed.
1 Tsp.Of ground cinnamon.
For the Syrup:
1 Cup.Of granulated sugar.
1 Cup.Of water.
1/2 Cup.Of unsalted butter.
1/2 Tsp.Of vanilla extract.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1st Step
Cut the apples in half and remove the core. For bigger dumplings, you may leave them whole; for individual servings, chop them into smaller pieces.
2nd Step
Divide the crescent roll dough into triangles after rolling it out. Put a chunk or half of an apple in the middle of each triangle. Mix cinnamon, brown sugar, and melted butter together. Drizzle this concoction onto every apple.
3rd Step
To make a dumpling, fold the dough's corners over the apple and seal the edges. With the sealed side facing down, put the dumplings on a baking dish.
4th Step
Put butter, water, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar in a saucepan. The combination should be heated to a medium temperature so that the butter melts and the sugar dissolves, producing a delicious syrup.
5th Step
Over the apple dumplings in the baking dish, pour the syrup. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the dumplings for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the apples are soft and golden brown.
6th Step
After taking the apple dumplings out of the oven, let them cool a little. Drizzle the dumplings with the baking dish's syrup and serve them warm.
7th Step
For an additional decadent touch, garnish with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
