CABBAGE SOUP

 


Ingredients:

One small head of cabbage.

Two lbs. ground sirloin.

3 large cans of whole tomatoes.

One squash.

One tbsp chili powder.

One green pepper.

3 large onions, chopped.

4 dashes of Texas Pete hot sauce.

One large can of kidney beans.

3 cups cooked pinto beans.

Water (enough to make it soupy).

Instructions:

Step 1

To start, brown meat with chili powder.

Step 2

Then, put meat in a pot and add onions, green pepper, cabbage, kidney beans, pinto beans, and water (use plenty).

Step 3

Next, bring to a boil, then simmer for an hour or more.

Tips for Perfect Cabbage Soup:

- Adjust chili powder and hot sauce to taste gradually.

- Let the soup simmer on low heat for at least an hour for rich flavors.

- Modify soup texture by cutting ingredients to preferred sizes.
