Traditional Pea Salad
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt, plus additional to taste
4 cups frozen peas, thawed
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 medium red onion, finely diced
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine sour cream, mayo, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and salt, whisking until well blended.
Add peas, crumbled bacon, diced onion, and cheddar cheese to the bowl. Gently stir to ensure even coating in the dressing.
Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld. Optionally, garnish with additional crispy bacon before serving. Enjoy!
