ITALIAN CRESCENT CASSEROLE

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • You will need to set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is soft and translucent.

  • Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the mixture simmer for 5-10 minutes.

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Spread the cream cheese evenly onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Top the cream cheese layer with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.

  • Spoon the ground beef mixture over the cheese layer, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the beef mixture.

  • Unroll one tube of crescent rolls and place the dough over the cheese and beef layers, pressing the seams together to seal. Repeat with the second tube of crescent rolls, covering the entire surface of the casserole.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the casserole is heated through. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

In conclusion, the Italian Crescent Casserole is a crowd-pleasing dish that brings together the flavors of Italy in a comforting and satisfying way. With its ease of preparation and irresistible taste, it's no wonder why this casserole is a beloved favorite among everyone in the family
