Quick & Easy Apple Cake (Just 5 Minutes of Prep!)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup and removal.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until evenly combined.

Step 3: Prepare the Wet Mixture
In a separate medium bowl, mix the eggs, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and uniform.

Step 4: Combine and Fold
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined. The batter will be thick. Fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed. If using nuts, fold them in now or save them to sprinkle over the top.

Step 5: Bake
Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.

Step 6: Cool and Serve
Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. If lined with parchment, lift it out and place on a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream or ice cream for a delicious finishing touch.

Baking Tip: This cake gets better the next day as the flavors settle. Store it covered at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for a longer shelf life.
