Deep Dish Apple Crisp (No Crust Needed!)

๐ŸŽ Deep Dish Apple Crisp (No Crust Needed!)

Too busy for pie crust but still craving that warm apple goodness? This Deep Dish Apple Crisp is a cozy, shortcut dessert that skips the crust but delivers all the comfort. It’s simple, satisfying, and perfect served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It came together through a bit of trial and error—and now it’s become a regular favorite in our home (even if my husband couldn’t wait for me to take a picture before digging in!).

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients

For the Apples:

  • Enough peeled and sliced apples to fill the bottom of an 8-inch deep-dish pie plate
(Granny Smith works great for tartness, but any firm baking apple will do)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar (set aside ¼ cup to mix with cinnamon)

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
