Heat a skillet over medium-high and pan-fry the patties until browned on both sides.

In a separate bowl, whisk the mushroom soup with the water or broth until smooth.

Pour the mixture over the beef slices in the baking dish.

Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour, or until bubbly and the gravy has thickened.
