Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Slice the Halloumi
Cut the halloumi into even slices — thick enough to hold their shape, but thin enough to crisp quickly.
2. Heat the Pan
Add a drizzle of olive oil or a small pat of butter to a skillet. Warm over medium-high heat until shimmering.
3. Pan-Fry to Golden Perfection
Place the halloumi slices in the hot pan.
Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until each piece is beautifully golden and crisp on the edges.
4. Finish With Brightness
Remove from the pan and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top for a tangy contrast.
Optional: Drizzle with honey for a sweet-salty combination.
5. Serve Immediately
Halloumi is best enjoyed hot, right out of the pan, when the edges are crispy and the inside is warm and tender.
