A package showed up for me: small glass tubes with 3 tiny ball bearings inside. I didn’t order this, and I have no idea what they’re for

1️⃣ Mixing / Agitation Ampoules

The small ball bearings act as agitators. When the tube is shaken, the balls help mix whatever substance is inside more thoroughly. Similar designs are used in:

  • Nail polish bottles

  • Paint markers

  • Adhesive activators

  • Resin or chemical sample kits

However, in your case the tubes appear empty except for the balls, which suggests they may be refillable or intended for insertion into another product.

2️⃣ Craft or DIY Inserts

These are sometimes sold as:

  • Mini rattle inserts for crafts

  • Sound-making inserts for handmade toys (though glass is less common for children’s use)

  • Jewelry or art components

The tiny ball bearings create a subtle shaking or rattling sound.

3️⃣ Industrial / Laboratory Components

Small sealed glass tubes with metal balls are sometimes used in:

  • Chemical testing kits

  • Calibration tools

  • Specialty adhesives or repair kits

If ordered accidentally (or sent in error), they may have been part of a bulk supply for hobbyists or lab use.
