Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the unbaked pie crust into a pie dish and set aside.

Step 2: Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, whisk sugar and melted butter until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.

Step 3: Add Remaining Ingredients
Whisk in buttermilk, flour, vanilla, salt, and optional nutmeg or lemon zest until fully combined.
