Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix the Filling
In a bowl, combine chopped pecans, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, coconut (if using), and salt. Stir until fully coated and sticky.

Step 3: Scoop the Cookies
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.

Step 4: Bake
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and tops look set.

Step 5: Cool & Set
Let cookies cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring—they firm up as they cool.
